Informal carers’ experiences of collaboration with formal carers to provide long-term care to patients with physical disability and cognitive impairment

[Master thesis – Health Care Management]

The aim of this research is to gain insight into the perspectives of informal carers on the collaboration and coordination between formal and informal carers of care recipients with a physical disability and cognitive impairment who need long-term care.

For this thesis, stories of informal carers were analysed with a narrative storyline analysis in order to form a broader understanding of the experiences of informal carers in relation to the collaboration with formal carers and what aspects of this collaboration affect these experiences.
