Understanding the impact of coping with complex grief while simultaneously caring for a family member with ABI

[Master Thesis]

This study aims to get a better understanding of how complex grief is experienced by informal caregivers, while simultaneously examining the coping styles they use to manage this. This study also aims to determine how complex grief and the identified coping styles affect their ability to provide informal care. Based on the findings, recommendations can be formulated to improve the ability of informal caregivers to provide long term care, which is preferred for the sustainability of the Dutch healthcare system as described in the appropriate care framework.
